The MK Breakers are pleased to announce the signing of 6’0” point guard Malik Griffith-Johnson for the 2022-23 season!
Griffith-Johnson, who hails from Luton, started his basketball journey in Milton Keynes as a 6-year-old. He went on to play at the prestigious Barking Abbey Basketball Academy in London, before heading stateside to play at Imperial Valley College in California.
“I’m so excited to play for MK and Coach Billy. I love the set up the Breakers have and I’m excited to play with the group of guys we have. I started playing basketball in MK at the age of 6 and played with my current teammate Michael New Jr, so this is really a blast from the past and I’m looking forward to representing Milton Keynes again and winning championships!”
It’s a full circle moment for Griffith-Johnson who will return to the place he first played basketball
“Malik is a dynamic point guard who I’m sure will be a fan favourite, with his energy and up-tempo style of play. He has great pedigree coming from the Barking Abbey system and has proven he can deliver at this level. We look forward to seeing him in action for the Breakers this season.”
