Milton Keynes Breakers are pleased to announce that Blayne Freckleton will once again be with the club as we prepare for the inaugural season of British Championship Basketball.
Beginning his basketball career at Stantonbury Campus under the guidance of Nigel Lloyd, Freckleton joined the MK Lions junior program before progressing through to the professional team.
After spending time with Team Northumbria, Hemel Storm and Thames Valley Cavaliers, his leadership and three point shooting made him a valuable weapon at every stop. Freckleton then returned to his hometown to be part of the MK Breakers launch back in 2022.
Part of our rapid climb through the divisions, the man himself is delighted to once again be representing the club. “We go again!” exclaimed Freckleton after agreeing to return. “It’s time to get back to winning ways and big days out for the team and our fans. We have unfinished business in Manchester.”
Having that core of local players back was also important for new Breakers Coach Ben Stanley. “We’re really happy to have Blayne returning for us this year,” he said. “He’s a veteran in this league and has a storied connection with the club. We know his IQ and experience will be an asset this year.”
Everyone at the club wishes Blayne every success in the 2025/26 season.
