Milton Keynes Breakers are thrilled to announce the signing of Jonas Dieterich ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 6’4″ wing arrives after firmly establishing himself as a high-level performer in the former Division 1 (now British Championship Basketball), having spent seven seasons with Loughborough Riders then four with Derby Trailblazers. A reliable presence on the defensive end, his versatility and high basketball IQ stand out, as does his consistently excellent three-point shooting.
Dieterich averaged 39.3% from deep last season, a mark only bettered by two players across the whole of the league, and Breakers Head Coach Ben Stanley fully expects his latest addition to be a major contributor in the upcoming campaign.
“Jonas is a great addition to the team this year,” Coach Stanley said. “He’s a veteran in the league and has always played with high IQ and energy. His ability to shoot the ball is without question, while he’s also fearless and a great team-mate. We’re very excited to have him!”
Meanwhile, having admired the Breakers culture from afar for some time, Dieterich shares his new coach’s enthusiasm and believes he will be a good fit both on and off the court.
“I’m very excited to be joining Milton Keynes this season,” Dieterich said. “They’ve always been a team that’s competing for championships and I’m hoping to be able to contribute to that winning culture.
“You can tell that there is a loyal fan base, and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them this year!”
Everyone at the club wishes Jonas every success in the 2025/26 season.
