Milton Keynes Breakers make the trip to Nottingham this Sunday as they face Nottingham Hoods – Tip Off is scheduled for 6:15pm at the Motorpoiont Arena.

The Breakers head into Sunday’s clash off the back of a dramatic win over Bristol Hurricanes. KJ Johnson’s buzzer-beater capped off an incredible 25-point showing from the American as he continued his impressive debut season in England.

The Hoods slipped to a costly defeat today, going down 87-80 to Newcastle Knights in the North East. The loss serves a costly blow to the Hoods hopes of retaining their place in NBL1 as they currently occupy one of the relegation spots. Despite 23 points from Jun Murdock Jr, the Hoods were unable to overcome a slow first half.

Murdock Jr has proven to be a great mid-season addition for Nottingham. The British-American guard is leading them in scoring with 19ppg. He is well supported by sharpshooting American Landon Taliaferro with 18.3ppg and big man Greg Skoric with 16.2ppg and 10.2 rpg.

With the Breakers hopeful of achieving a top four finish and in the process securing a home Play-Off fixture, every game is a must win. Nottingham however are fighting for their Division 1 status and a win on Sunday would go a long way to helping the Hoods achieve that feat.
