Milton Keynes Breakers are pleased to announce the signing of American forward Nick Woodard.

Standing 6’ 7”, he graduated from Alcorn State University and brings a skillset that should prove to be a valuable weapon in our 2026/27 British Championship Basketball campaign.

A strong physical wing, Woodard uses his size effectively to create advantages in the post, backing down defenders and playing through contact. But, while never shying away from that physicality, he is also a capable three-point shooter who can space the floor, something that excites our new Head Coach.

“We’re really excited to bring Nick to MK Breakers,” said Nigel Lloyd. “He’ll give us another dimension at both ends of the floor, with the size and strength to create mismatches and stretch the floor with his shot-making ability.

“But what really stood out to us is his defensive versatility. Nick has the size, length and discipline to defend multiple positions, and that flexibility is going to be important for the way we want to play.

“He comes from a strong NCAA Division 1 programme at Alcorn State, and we believe there is more to come from him. We’re looking forward to helping him develop further and see the impact he can have here in MK.”

Meanwhile, the man himself can’t wait to get to work. “I’m extremely blessed and grateful for this opportunity,” Woodard said shortly after signing a contract with the club. “I’m looking to help bring another championship back to Breakers. I’m excited to get started and give the fans something to look forward to this season!”

Everyone at the club wishes Nick every success in the 2026/27 season.

You can see him and the rest of the Breakers back in action next week when they take on USA Select in an exciting friendly at Bletchley Leisure Centre, with tickets available here.
