Milton Keynes Breakers are delighted to announce that William Issekya will return to the club for the 2026/27 British Championship Basketball campaign.
The 21-year-old has already played two seasons with the Men’s first team, helping Breakers earn back-to-back promotions from Division 3 up to Division 1, whilst also featuring in our historic National Cup win in 2024.
Following that triumph, Issekya – a graduate of the MK5D Breakers Academy – moved to the US, representing the College of Southern Idaho, an NJCAA Division 1 Junior College. Armed with that experience and eager to continue his development, Issekya could not be happier to be returning to his local club.
“I’m excited to be back home,“ he said. “I’m looking forward to playing in front of the incredible Breakers fans once again, and I want to help bring a trophy back to Bletchley for them to celebrate!”
Meanwhile, Head Coach Nigel Lloyd is excited at the prospect of adding another talented young player to the roster. “William is a player I’m particularly excited to work with. I was his first coach, so I’ve seen his journey from the very beginning and know the potential he has. He’s worked incredibly hard to develop his game, and now he has an opportunity to take another big step forward with the Breakers. I’m really looking forward to helping him continue that development and seeing just how far he can go.”
Everyone at the club is delighted to see William return and wishes him every success in the 2026/27 season.
