MK Breakers American guard Dante Langley will depart the team at the end of the season. Due to Visa regulations for international players in NBL1 (the league the Breakers were recently promoted to), Dante will unfortunately not be eligible to play for the team next season.
Langley, who hails from New York, has been an integral part of the Breakers rise to the top tier of the NBL since the team’s inception in 2022. In the 2022-23 season, which saw the Breakers promoted from NBL3, going undefeated whilst claiming the East league and Playoff titles, Dante led the team in scoring and was named team MVP.
This season Dante has helped the team win the National Cup (the first non-Division 1 side to do so in over 50 years) and earn a second consecutive promotion after becoming NBL2 South Champions on the final day of the regular season.
Dante has become a fan favourite in his time with the club, with his high-flying dunks electrifying the Bletchley Leisure Centre crowd.
Everyone at the Breakers would like to thank Dante for his efforts and contributions to the club and local community. His name will forever be etched in Breakers history and he will always have a home in Milton Keynes.
You can catch Dante in action for the final time for the Breakers in the NBL Division 2 Playoff Final, this Saturday 27th April, 6pm tip off at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester, vs Solent Kestrels. All the information for fans, including tickets and fan buses can be found here.
Join the team at the Club’s second annual Awards evening, Wednesday 1st May, 6:30pm at MK Sports Bar & Lounge, more information here.
