Milton Keynes Breakers are pleased to announce the signing of 21-year-old British guard Caleb Winspear.
Born in London before moving to the Cayman Islands, he returned to represent Sussex Bears and the University of Northampton, before spending the last three seasons with Northampton Titans for the past 3 years.
Now, after admiring the impact our club has had on the local community, Winspear feels he is not only ready to make the step up to our BCB team, he says he is also ready to play his part off the court too.
“I’m incredibly excited to get started with the Breakers this season,” he said. “The opportunity to be surrounded by high-calibre players and a knowledgeable coaching staff is something I’ve worked hard for, and I’m looking forward to learning and developing as a player.
“But connecting with the fans and wider community was another big part of my decision. Coaching and giving back to the community is something I’m passionate about, so I can’t wait to build those relationships, play in front of the home crowd and contribute to winning in any way I can.”
Meanwhile, Head Coach Nigel Lloyd was happy with the latest addition to the roster. “Young guys like Caleb are an important part of any team,” he said. “Ready to work, willing to learn and with a good understanding of what it means to be a Breaker, I’m excited to see how he develops as the season progresses.”
Everyone at the club wishes Caleb every success for the 2026/27 season.
There is still a chance to catch the first outing of our new-look team, when USA Select take to the floor at Bletchley Leisure Centre on Thursday. Tickets are available here.
