Milton Keynes Breakers are delighted to announce the signing of versatile American Chase Thompson for the 2025/26 season.
The 6’6” sharp shooter arrives in the British Championship Basketball having spent time with SEMO University, Florida Tech and the University of Nebraska at Kearney, shooting 39.2% from three at the last of those stops.
Now set to take the first steps of his professional career in Milton Keynes, he was identified early on as someone who would fit in perfectly with Coach Ben Stanley’s style of play.
“We’re really happy to have Chase on board,” Coach Stanley said. “He comes highly recommended, and we’re sure his work ethic and attitude will be an asset to us.
“On court his skill level and size will be huge for us and contribute to our versatility. I’m really high on Chase and am excited to welcome him to the Breakers.”
Those sentiments were echoed by the club General Manager Josh Merrington, who was glad to finally get the deal done to bring the 24-year-old to Bletchley Leisure Centre ahead of the new season.
“Chase is a player we’ve tracked for some time now,” he said. “His ability to play a number of positions and score at all three levels will open up the floor for us, while his high character is something we expect from every player who pulls on our uniform.”
Meanwhile, there is little doubt that the player has done his homework too. “It feels great to be a Breaker!” Chase said after the deal was completed. “Knowing I am commencing my pro career with a great staff that have a tradition of winning/ Hopefully I can help add a new championship to the club’s collection!
“I also can’t wait to get in the community and help grow support for the Breakers, and contribute to growing British basketball too.”
Everyone at the club wishes Chase every success as he pursues those goals in the 2025/26 season.
