After a year at the helm of the Men’s First Team, Milton Keynes Breakers are saying goodbye to Head Coach Ben Stanley.
Stanley arrived at Bletchley Leisure Centre a year ago, bringing a wealth of experience from his time with Nottingham Hoods, Solent Kestrels and Loughborough, taking charge of a new-look Breakers team following wholesale changes to the roster.
That led to a difficult start to the campaign, but the team rallied and finished the season strongly, claiming fourth-place in the inaugural BCB Basketball campaign before reaching the Playoff semifinals.
“It’s been a genuine pleasure to coach at MK this year,” Ben Stanley said. “The club is doing some fantastic things at all levels, and to be involved in that – and influence it in some small way – has been a privilege.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to the Men’s team and Mitchell Timmins for their tenacity this year, and to the Academy and Junior National League players for being so receptive.
“Lastly, a huge thank you to Pete Taylor for bringing me on board, to Josh Merrington for his support and to Adam Digby for being there for me every day. I wish nothing but the best for the Breakers.
Everyone at the club wishes Ben all the best for the future.
In the coming weeks, Breakers fans can expect to hear news about our new coaching staff and player signings as we begin to shape our roster for the 2026/27 season.
