Milton Keynes Breakers host Nottingham Hoods this Saturday as they look to record their third successive league win and continue their push for a Play-Off Finish in their debut season in NBL Division 1. Tip-Off is scheduled for 5pm.
MK Breakers enter this weekend’s clash having recorded wins over Worthing Thunder and City of Birmingham Rockets in their last two outings. Adrian Scarborough maintained his impressive form in the win over City of Birmingham as he scored 26 points and grabbed an incredible 15 rebounds, further displaying his dominance at both ends of the court.
His dynamic style of play has seen him climb to third in the division for Efficiency – notching a 310 score so far this campaign – he also placed second for average total rebounds with 10.6. Another man featuring heavily in the stats is KJ Johnson, he places third in the division for average points with 19.9 and fourth in the division for efficiency with 310. The American also sits second for average assists with 7.2 per game.
The Breakers impressive run of work since the turn of the year has seen them climb to fifth in the table, just two points behind Derby Trailblazers. Nottingham Hoods currently sit in 11th, having picked up four wins this season. They enter this weekend’s clash having picked up two wins in their last three games, overcoming Derby Trailblazers and City of Birmingham Rockets before narrowly being defeated by Reading Rockets.
Landon Taliaferro has been their main source of points, he’s currently averaging 18.1 points per game, he’s also been lethal from beyond the arc with an impressive 42.4% conversion rate – enough to see him place fourth in the division. Kayne King will look to continue to be a source of assists – he tops the charts for the Hoods with 4.9, with Greg Skoric sitting at 10.3 rebounds per game.
