Milton Keynes Breakers are delighted to announce the signing of Sam Grant for 2026/27 season.

The 6’9″ forward arrives following an eye-catching first year as a professional, averaging 18 points and nine rebounds for Irish Division 1 side Killarney, shooting 34% from behind the three-point line.

That long-range accuracy has long been the calling card of the Northampton native, who as a youngster moved to Reading Rockets and progressed through their Junior programme and Academy.

Representing Great Britain at youth level, Grant would then go to university in the US, starting out at Florida Tech before graduating from Sioux Falls in the summer of 2025. Now keen to test himself at a higher level professionally, Head Coach Nigel Lloyd is excited to get to work with his latest signing.

“We’re delighted to welcome Sam to the Breakers,” he said. “He’s an outstanding shooter who can really stretch the floor, but what makes him even more valuable is his versatility.

“He can impact the game in a number of different roles, and his basketball IQ allows him to fit seamlessly into different line-ups. Adding someone with Sam’s skill set gives us another dimension offensively, and we’re looking forward to seeing the influence he’ll have on our team this season.”

Meanwhile, the man himself is also eager to get things underway. “I’m really excited to be suiting up for Breakers next season,” Grant said. “From what I’ve seen the team is gonna be very strong this year and I’m excited to be a part of a club going in the direction MK are heading.

“I’m also excited to be playing nearer home for the first time in a while, and I look forward to seeing and playing against familiar faces in the BCB this upcoming season.”

Everyone at the club welcomes Sam to MK and wishes him every success in the 2026/27 season.

You can see Sam and the rest of the Breakers team in action later this month when they take on USA Select in an exciting friendly at Bletchley Leisure Centre. Tickets are available here.
