Milton Keynes Breakers are delighted to announce that Jonas Dieterich has agreed to return to the club for 2026/27 season.
The 6’5″ guard arrived with a proven track record in British basketball, delivering performances at a consistently high level during his seven seasons with Loughborough Riders and then four more with Derby Trailblazers.
Known for his versatility, shooting accuracy and elite basketball IQ, Dieterich immediately earned a place in the Breakers starting lineup and was the only player to start all 28 games last season.
Most importantly, he played a major role in the club’s playoff run. The quarter-final win over Nottingham Hoods saw Dieterich shine with 20 points, 4 assists and 4 steals, the last of which came at the end of the fourth quarter and resulted in Kalvin Oates’ huge three to send the game to overtime.
After proving decisive in that win, he followed it up with a double-double in the semifinal defeat away at Reading Rockets, and he will be hoping to help the club go even further in the upcoming campaign.
“I’m really excited to be back with Breakers this year,” Dieterich said. “The fans and the club were all very welcoming to me last season so it’s great to know I’m returning for another year.
“I feel like it’s an exciting time to be at the club and I’m looking forward to contributing to another successful Breakers season!”
