MK Breakers will be looking to return to winning ways this weekend as they make the journey north to face Newcastle Knights in their latest NBL Division One clash. Tip-Off is scheduled for 2pm this Saturday.

The two sides have met once already this season with Newcastle running out 82-81 winners, with Corey Johnson netting 31 points with Logan Rooney adding a further 23 to guide the Knights to victory.

A man who has been a real danger this season is Hafeez Adbul, he’s averaging the third highest points in the division with 21.3 points per game having scored 24 points and 23 points in his last two outings against Bristol Hurricanes and Nottingham Hoods respectively.

Ronald Blain is proving a menace on the defensive side of the ball, he’s averaging 2.5 Steals per Game and 0.9 Blocks per Game, he’s also averaging an impressive 18.1 Points per Game proving to be an asset at both ends of the court for Newcastle.

Newcastle enter Saturday’s clash as the form team having won three of their last four games, only tasting defeat against Derby Trailblazers in that period. That span has seen them pick up wins over Worthing Thunder, Nottingham Hoods and Bristol Hurricanes. Their run of form has seen them climb to ninth in the table with a Play-Off Finish firmly within their grasp.

MK Breakers will be looking to bounce back after suffering defeat in the KitKing Trophy Final last weekend against Reading Rockets. The Breakers currently sit fourth in the table with both Essex Rebels and Loughborough Riders sitting on the same points as the Breakers.

A win for Billy Beddow’s side would go a long way in securing a Top Four finish – one that would see the Breakers play their Play-Off fixture on home court.

The Breakers return home next week to take on Bradford Dragons on the 29th March, tickets available HERE
