Milton Keynes Breakers are back in league action his Saturday as they look to improve upon their 2-4 start as they host Derby Trailblazers – tip-off is 5pm.
The Breakers enjoyed a break from league schedule last weekend as they travelled to Essex Rebels in the National Cup. A dominant display saw the Breakers reach the Quarter-Final following a 91-54 win, led by Nate Robinson’s 17 points.
MK Breakers currently sit 10th in NBL Division One with two wins from their opening six games, the Breakers do have a number of games in hand on the rest of the division, which they’ll be hoping to win as they look to climb the table.
Derby Trailblazers, meanwhile, currently sit second in the division having lost just two of their opening nine games. Having suffered defeat on the opening day against City of Birmingham Rockets, the Trailblazers won seven consecutive games before tasting defeat against Hemel Storm in their last league fixture.
Leighton Elliott-Sewell has been integral to Derby’s success this season, he currently sits third in the division for Points per Game with 23.3 and eighth in the league for efficiency with 160. Elliott-Sewell hasn’t just been scoring well, he’s also averaging 10.5 rebounds per game. David Simental also features in the Top 10 for Average Points with 17.8, with Charlie Brown averaging 5.4 Assists Per Game for the Trailblazers.
