The MK Breakers are delighted to confirm the signing of 6’5” British wing Kai Walker for the 2024/25 season.
Walker who hails from London, has NBL Division 1 experience with Solent Kestrels and Thames Valley Cavaliers, where he started last season before making the move to London Sharks. His best season coming in 2022-23 when he averaged 11.7 points and 7.6 rebounds a game for Solent in NBL1.
A hard-working high energy player, Walker is excited to play with the Breakers this season; “I’m very happy to be joining the Breakers! Seeing the success over the last 2 years with back-to-back promotions for the senior team and also the success of the junior teams is amazing.
The fans should expect hard work and a lot of energy from myself getting up and down the court doing my best to help the team win and improve every time on the court. I love to compete and have fun while playing.
The overall culture at the Breakers made me interested in joining from the community level all the way to the senior level the family feeling and togetherness is something I am big on when it comes to basketball.”
Breakers Head Coach Billy Beddow-Patel is excited to welcome Walker to the team; “We’re really happy to have Kai join the team this season. He is a hard-working player with a great attitude and is a proven NBL Division 1 Player. I believe he will be a great addition to the team, and that he will be able to flourish in our system and community here at the Breakers.”
