U14 Boys I: MK Breakers 75-66 Leicester Riders I
The U14 Boys weren’t in action in the opening round of fixtures so were making their Season debut against Leicester Riders. It was a scrappy affair for the new team, but a strong third quarter allowed them to open up a 20-point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter, eventually running out 75-66 winners despite a strong comeback from Leicester in the final quarter.

U14 Girls I: MK Breakers 112-18 Reading Rockets
The U14 Girls I scored over 100 for the second week in a row as they recorded back-to-back victories in their opening two games of the season.

U16 Boys: MK Breakers 65-45 Sheffield Elite
The U16 Boys also made it two wins in as many games as they overcame Sheffield Elite in their 20-point victory. It was a new experience for the U16 Boys as they had to work their way through a Zone Defence for the majority of the game. Despite some early struggles doing so, the Breakers broke it down and would continue their strong start to the season.

U16 Boys II: MK Breakers 61-68 Luton
It was another hard-fought battle for the U16 Boys II as they narrowly lost to Luton. The opposition picked up more rebounds and were scoring in transition, which ultimately cost Breakers the win.

U18 Women: MK Breakers 85-81 Charnwood Riders
The Breakers U18 Women kicked off their season with an Overtime win over Charnwood Riders. The Breakers trailed 27-18 after the First Quarter, but the young side from Milton Keynes rallied to win the next three quarters and take the tie to overtime in the closing seconds, and with three of the side fouled out, Kirsten Moran stepped up with five points in a matter of moments to guide Breakers to the win.

U18 Men: MK Breakers 60-96 Solent Kestrels
MK Breakers faced up against a very strong Solent Kestrels side who have been an established team in the Premier Conference for a number of years. Despite the defeat, there was a number of positives and areas the side can learn from.

U18 Men II: MK Breakers 55-61 Northants Thunder.
MK Breakers faced off against Northants Thunder – last season’s conference winners. The Breakers were up by seven points at the break, but Northampton would close the gap before coming out on top.
