MK Breakers Basketball Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Vladan Dragosavac as the club’s new Technical Director.
The appointment represents another significant step forward in the club’s development strategy, continuing our mission to build a clear and connected pathway for basketball across MK.
With a career in basketball that spans 25 years, the Serbian native has held roles with Great Britain, Yugoslavia and Serbia. Dragosavac is no stranger to British Basketball, having held roles as Performance Pathway Manager for the Great Britain youth teams and Head of Performance for Basketball England at the Commonwealth Games in 2018.
Vladan’s extensive experience and expertise will see him work closely with the Breaker’s coaches and leadership team to strengthen the technical and player-development structure across the organisation.
This will allow the club to ensure greater alignment between the different levels of basketball within MK Breakers, from the grassroots of our Community programme all the way to the Men’s and Women’s senior teams.
“I’m delighted to be joining MK Breakers as Technical Director at such an exciting stage in the club’s development,” said Dragosavac. “They have already built strong foundations, combining a thriving community programme with an ambitious player pathway and a clear commitment to developing basketball in Milton Keynes.
“What excites me most is the opportunity to help connect and strengthen every part of that pathway, while supporting our coaches and creating a clear and consistent approach to player development.”
Meanwhile, MK Breakers General Manager Josh Merrington welcomed the appointment. “We are delighted to welcome Vladan to MK Breakers,” he said. “Developing a strong basketball pathway is central to our long-term vision for the club, and bringing someone of Vladan’s experience and expertise into the organisation is a major step forward.
“We want to create a club where a young player can start their basketball journey within our community programme and see a genuine pathway all the way through junior and academy basketball and into senior basketball.
“Vladan will play a key role in connecting those programmes, supporting our coaches and establishing a consistent approach across the club. We are excited about the impact he can have on both player and coach development as we continue to grow.”
The club believes the appointment will provide an important link between participation, player development and performance as MK Breakers continue their ambition to become one of the leading basketball organisations in the country.
Welcome to MK Breakers, Vladan.
