Club captain and reigning Division 3 East MVP Jordan Spencer has re-signed with the Breakers for the 2023-24 season.

The fan-favourite will once again entertain the home fans at Bletchley Leisure Centre as he leads the Breakers for a second season.

Spencer showed his quality last season, posting eye-catching averages of 22 points, 11.6 assists, 7.9 rebounds and 4.2 steals per game. The 6’2” point-guard recorded triple-doubles in 9 games last season, including the playoff final where he finished with 11 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists. His biggest scoring games of the season was 47 points, including 13 3-pointers vs Northamptonshire Titans whilst he dished out a huge 20 assists on the road vs Bury St Edmunds.

Spencer is keen to continue building upon the success of last season, “After a successful first season, the objective is to keep building these foundations in MK and put ourselves back on the map. It’s a privilege as a hometown kid to be a part of it. We’ll be looking to win everything that’s available to us and look forward to playing in front of our amazing fans!”

Head Coach Billy Beddow is delighted to have Spencer return, “Jordan’s contributions to the team and club last season have been huge. His performances awarded him player of the year in the conference, and we are really pleased to return Jordan as this gives us the continuity we need to keep pushing next season.”

Spencer is the fifth signing for the 2023/24 season, joining returners Dante Langley, Mike New Jr, Blayne Freckleton and new recruit Andre Arissol. There will be more signings in the coming weeks with some familiar faces as well as some exciting new additions.
