MK Breakers are delighted to announce Jordan Spencer as the first signing for the senior men’s team!

Jordan, who is from Milton Keynes, attended Shenley Brook End school and came through the MK Lions (now London Lions) Junior program before joining their professional team as a teenager. Jordan enjoyed a stellar junior career, representing England at u16 & u18 level, as well as Great Britain at u20 level, earning a European Championships Division B silver medal with the GB u20 team in 2013.

At 19, Jordan received a scholarship to attend Augustana University in South Dakota, USA where he enjoyed one of the most decorated careers of any point guard at the NCAA Division 2 level, helping the team to the NCAA D2 National Championship in 2016 and finishing his career with 1686 points and 918 assists (4th all time in NCAA D2 history).

“I’m extremely happy to be able to play the game of basketball back in my hometown again where it all began. I can’t wait to bring the excitement back to Milton Keynes with basketball and be part of something special for many years to come,” commented Spencer who will also be coaching within the club to give back and help develop the next generation of talented basketball players in the city.

“Jordan is someone that I have known for a long time and we are thrilled to announce a player of his pedigree as the first signing in club history. One of our aims as a club is to provide opportunities for players like Jordan to be able to play at home in Milton Keynes, so it’s a great feeling to make this happen. I’m excited not only for Jordan’s impact on the court, but also off the court as a role model for young players in our club who aspire to follow in his footsteps.”

MK Breakers Head Coach Billy Beddow added “It’s an exciting, but also a fitting first signing for the men’s team. Jordan raises the level of the players around him because of his competitive nature and his selfless talent to share the ball! He brings so much experience from his career that will benefit everyone around him, it’s incredible to have him as a Breaker!”

We will be announcing more exciting player signings in the coming days, so keep your eyes peeled! Your first opportunity to see the Senior Men’s team play will be September 24th when we host Loughborough Riders at Bletchley Leisure Centre, ticket information to be released shortly.
