The MK Breakers are thrilled to announce the signing of 6’9” forward/centre Bradley Day for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
A native on Mildenhall, Day joins the Breakers in a mid-season move from Ipswich Basketball Club where he was off to a strong start, averaging 14 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, whilst shooting an impressive 40% from the three-point line.
The 23-year-old Day played his junior basketball at County Upper Basketball Academy in Bury St Edmunds, before making a move stateside to Des Moines Area Community College where he helped the team to an NJCAA Division 2 National Title in 2021.
Tickets: MK Breakers vs Nottingham Hoods 3rd December
Speaking on his move to the Breakers, Day is keen to do whatever it takes to help the team win, “I am extremely excited and honoured to be a part of the MK Breakers men’s team. Coming into a team halfway through a season is always going to be tougher to find your feet in the team but I am willing to do whatever it takes for us as a collective to win. I am very thankful to Coach Beddow for allowing to be a part of the team and giving me an opportunity to grow as a player.”
Head Coach Billy Beddow-Patel added, “We are really excited to welcome Brad onto the team mid-season. I’ve known him for a long time now and always liked how he plays. He’s able to stretch the floor but also play down low. In the very small amount of time he’s had in practice he’s been self-motivated, worked hard and seems like a great fit with the squad.”
Day will make his debut today as the team take on Cardiff Met Archers on the road at 6pm. Follow the LiveStats here.
