The MK Breakers are pleased to announce 6’5” forward Luke Gregory has signed for the 2022-23 season!

Gregory, who is from Milton Keynes, attended Denbigh school and came up through the Shenley Scorpions junior program, the club that the MK Breakers evolved from.

Luke studied at Coventry University, where he excelled on the basketball court for both the University team and the Coventry Flames, who compete in NBL Division 3, the same league the Breakers will play in this season. Gregory was named team MVP for the Coventry Flames in the 2021-22 season, with impressive averages of 18.5 points and 14.2 rebounds per game for the Midlands outfit.

“I’ve lived in MK for my entire life, and have played basketball for as long as I can remember. I’ve been waiting for a men’s team to return to the city and I’m looking forward to starting a new challenge and helping the Breakers to win championships in any way I can. We’ve got a fantastic roster and it’s an exciting time to for basketball in MK.”

Gregory is excited to be playing in his home city,

“It gives us great pleasure to be able to offer guys like Luke the opportunity to play at home in Milton Keynes. Luke has shown in his time at Coventry he can produce at this level and we look forward to him bringing his interior presence to the Breakers this season.”

General Manager Josh Merrington on Gregory’s signing

Coach Beddow added, “Luke joins us after already establishing himself as a dominant player in this division. We are lucky to have Luke returning home to play with us in Milton Keynes. Not just an inside force, he can put the ball on the floor too which will make him a fun player to coach this year!”

Gregory becomes the Breakers’ fifth signing, joining Jordan Spencer, Blayne Freckleton, Mike New Jr and Dante Langley on the 2022-23 roster.

Your first opportunity to see the Senior Men’s team in action will be September 24th when we host Loughborough Riders at Bletchley Leisure Centre, ticket information to be released shortly.
