It’s a crucial few weeks for MK Breakers with seven games in the next month they have the chance to lift another piece of silverware and secure a home play-off fixture.
First up for the Breakers is a Thursday night clash against Bristol Hurricanes at Bletchley Leisure Centre. Bristol have currently occupy seventh in the table having won nine of their 18 games this season, tip-off this Thursday is 7pm so make sure you get behind the Breakers as they look to return to winning ways on home court – tickets can be purchased HERE!
The following week [9/3], MK Breakers will make the journey to the Motorpoint Arena to face Nottingham Hoods. The clash will attract a lot of eyes as it follows the SLB Cup Final in which Sheffield Sharks will take on Surrey 89ers in British Basketball’s Premier Cup competition. Attention then turns to the KitKing Trophy Final [15/3] as MK Breakers face off against Reading Rockets at Surrey Sports Park. It’s a competition the Breakers have never won and they’ll be hoping to deny Reading Rockets a double after they lifted the National Cup in January. The Breakers then make the long journey to Team Newcastle University [22/3] before hosting Bradford Dragons the following weekend [29.3] The regular season then concludes with two more home games against Loughborough Riders [29/3] and Essex Rebels [6/4].
A top four finish in the regular season would secure the Breakers a home Play-Off fixture, however, with the league currently as tight as it is, the run in holds significance. The Breakers currently sit fourth in the table, just two points behind third placed Derby Trailblazers. They currently sit above fifth placed Loughborough Riders on Head to Head/Points Difference, with Essex Rebels and Bristol Hurricanes occupying sixth and seventh respectively with 18 points.
