MK Breakers forward Michael New Jr will miss the remainder of the 2023-24 season with a knee injury that will require surgery.

New Jr was enjoying a great season for the Breakers, averaging 11.9 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in league play, whilst converting 46.3% of his three-point attempts.

Mike aggravated an old knee injury in the game vs Richmond Knights on the 17th of December. Following a scan, further damage was revealed, and it was determined that he will require surgery.

Everyone at the MK Breakers would like to wish Mike a speedy recovery, and we look forward to seeing him back on the court once he returns to full fitness.
