The Milton Keynes Breakers are delighted to announce the signing of 6’7” British forward Romario Spence for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Spence, who hails from Luton joins the Breakers from NBL2 side London Elite, where he was enjoying a strong season averaging 19.2 points 9.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists.

Romario is no stranger to NBL1 as he was part of the 2022-23 Hemel Storm team that went a perfect 41-0 to capture all four titles.

A former Great Britain International at U18 and U20 level, Spence graduated from Oklahoma City University in the USA and has since enjoyed professional stints in France, NBL1 and the BBL with the Plymouth City Patriots.

MK Breakers Head Coach Billy Beddow-Patel is delighted with the signing of Spence and commented, “We’re excited to have Romario join us for the rest of the season. He is a player that we’ve been keeping an eye on for a while and we believe he will add a new dimension to our front court with his versatility and athleticism.”

Speaking on joining the Breakers, Spence added, “I’m excited for the opportunity of being part of the MK Breakers. I know the history behind the club and what is expected so being involved means a lot to me and I’m ready to get started!”

Spence will make his debut for the Breakers today against the Worthing Thunder. Breakers fans will have their first chance to see Romario in action at home next Saturday when we host City of Birmingham Rockets, 5pm Tip-Off at Bletchley Leisure Centre. Tickets available HERE.
