After two closely fought encounters last weekend, Milton Keynes Breakers will travel to the South Coast this Saturday as they face Worthing Thunder in their latest NBL 1 outing. The game will tip off at 7:30pm at Worthing Leisure Centre.
The two sides met earlier in the season with the Breakers running out 113-88 winners that day. Nate Robinson and Adrian Scarborough led the scoring that day for the Breakers with 25 points each. Since then, the Breakers have suffered defeats against both London Cavaliers and Derby Trailblazers, but did overcome the aforementioned Cavaliers in the return fixture.
That leaves the Breakers sitting sixth in the table, with a win this weekend they could climb into fifth and leapfrog Essex Rebels in the process. Worthing, meanwhile, sit 11th in the table and will no doubt be looking to end the season strongly to avoid relegation.
KJ Johnson is continuing to enjoy a fine debut season in NBL 1, he neared a triple double last weekend against London Cavaliers with 22 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. He followed that up with another impressive performance against Derby with 28 points, 13 assists and five rebounds which earned him a spot in the NBL team of the week.
