MK Breakers close out an incredible 2024 as they host Worthing Thunder in their latest NBL Division 1 outing at Bletchley Leisure Centre this Saturday. Tip-Off is scheduled for 5pm.
The Breakers will fondly remember this calendar year as they lifted the National Cup and earned promotion into NBL Division 1, but there will be no time for reflection come Saturday evening. They enter Saturday’s fixture with Worthing Thunder having won their last two league outings over Derby Trailblazers and City of Birmingham Rockets respectively.
Despite suffering defeat last time out against Hemel Storm, Worthing Thunder earned plaudits for their performance against the unbeaten league leaders as they pushed Hemel right to the final few minutes. The Thunder currently sit 11th in the table having picked up two wins from their opening 10 games, they came against both Bradford Dragons and Thames Valley Cavaliers.
Elijah Maynard has been the standout player for Worthing, he tops the division in scoring with 24 points per game. Malachi Boayke-Yiadom has showcased his talents from beyond the arc as his 45.8% conversion rate from the three point line has seen him create problems for opposition defences. It’s Bode Adeluola who has proven to be the creative spark for Thunder, his 2.1 steals per game coupled with his 5.5 assists per game see him place in the top 10 in the division for both stats.
The Breakers will need your support against a side that are improving with every game, so get yourself down to Bletchley Leisure Centre for another entertaining game of Basketball – tickets available HERE.
